Birthday Tree
I made this tree for Florence for her 18th Birthday. Working from photos collected by Sally her Mum and a few I had taken. We soon realised just how few photos we have they are all saved on disk or memory stick rather than in an album....... a little sad I think. Lovely Party Flo and hope you liked the tree.

Black and tan with a bit of green.
It was fun making the last one so.............. I have had another go.
The inspiration strangly enough came from good old Lego.

Scaplen's Court
A trip to Poole and Scaplen's Court yesterday. This is a beautiful window in an upstairs room at the court a more modern aspect to this amazing building dating abt 1280.
Late 15th century surviving arch braced roof over the parlour..... amazing.
This was a really interesting place and I would recommend a visit it is child friendly with lots of activities for all to join in and the herb garden is truly a little oasis.

Market Day Bridgwater.
Well I vowed I would never participate in market trading ever again but...
this is very different to the Covent garden market London.
Bridgwater, a slower pace and on a much smaller scale, no rushing and far more relaxed. Yesterday I took a small selection of my work and with no pressure joined Sue who sells her lovely knit and felt wear on the pitch. We enjoyed the social side of the morning meeting friendly people, having a coffee and a chat and sharing our knowledge of the crafts we love.

My Travels
Yesterday I went to The Bakelite Museum in Wiliton Somerset.
What a quirky place, the museum is in a watermill and holds an amazing collection of items.
A trip down memory lane took me to my childhood and caravan holidays with bakelite cruet sets and picnic plates an beakers.
At the museum there were all sorts of goodies, square saucepans, numerous egg cups and jelly moulds, buttons and no end of useful household gadgets from the past.
The tea room was lovely, odds and ends of pretty china and a lovely seection of the all important cake. All in all well worth the trip.

A Family tree, these can be made to order with names and birth dates.
A tree of family and friends can also be made to order for any occasion, wedding, special birthday etc.
My latest mosaic project has been family trees. I am interested in genealogy and a while ago made a mosaic using photographs of family and friends it has been a great topic of conversation and much admired. So the inspiration came about and I have made several trees for different occasions.
As from today this mosaic is now for sale in the Cottage Gallery Wedmore it was as sunny there today as in the picture, summer at last. The gallery has lots of scrummy art works of all types for sale
and is well worth a visit. There is a lovely coffee shop along the road and several interesting individual shops nearby.
